My name is Norma Carranza. I am the owner, hands, and artist behind AmysNooks. I’m glad you’re here.

I started AmysNooks after I got married in 2014. So, where does the name come from? “Amy” is what my family calls me; it's my middle name. “Nooks” because I combined the words needles and hooks. Behold, the name AmysNooks was created!

I learned to crochet when I was a teenager. My mom would show me a little at a time, and with enough practice and patience, I finally got it down. I taught myself how to knit in college to ease my mind and find the slow in my fast pace life. Knitting and crocheting have become more than a hobby for me; It’s a beautiful, creative lifestyle.

I’m a homeschooling mama of two.

I love the outdoors and adventure.

I’m also a fur mama to 1 beautiful Chihuahua. [RIP to my fur baby Bruno.]
